Founded in 2011 by Laura Cavacece, Hidden Talent rose to become the largest and most prestigious singing competition in Canada. After 10 seasons, we went into hiatus, pursuing other musical endeavors. Now after 10 years and MUCH fanfare, Hidden Talent is BACK! Laura has achieved more success than any other up and coming unsigned recording artist from Ontario, Canada. From working and performing with an endless amount of successful International and Canadian Recording Artists such as BareNaked Ladies, Jeff Healey, Alexandria Burke, Fifth Harmony, Nicole Sherzinger, Karl Wolf, Bryan Adams, Craig Smart and many more; to launching Canada’s biggest vocal competition, “Hidden Talent Canada” 2012-present.
Growing up, Laura has performed in many musical productions on stage. High school musical 2 on stage, playing the role of Sharpay Evans, to name the biggest, She was also featured on CMT‘s Hit TV show, Nashville, Season 5.
Due to Laura’s credentials and exposure through viral singing cover videos, TV appearances and televised National Anthem Performances, Laura’s impressive fan base and following throughout her socials consists of a growing 150,000 followers and counting.
She is currently travelling back-and-forth to Nashville on a monthly basis for Song write collaborations, performances, and appearances. Laura is working with some of Nashville Tennessee’s biggest songwriters and is unofficially under Nashville’s WME Talent Agency’s wing.
James Nickle (Judge)
Award-winning music producer and filmmaker from Vaughan, Ontario. James has worked with top names in the music industry including Grammy award winners. James is the owner of “Cleveland Sound Lab” recording studio in Vaughan, ON. James produces over 200 songs annually for artists, films, and commercials. His productions have tracked on radio in major markets around the world. James is also an established filmmaker, working on full-length motion pictures, TV commercials, and music videos with millions of views.
Laura Crimi (Judge)
A recognized Canadian Songwriter, Musician, Producer, Music Manager and Vocalist and Hidden Talent Judge. She began singing professionally since the age of 14. She became the vocalist in her first ever band , where she played locally in Toronto based clubs, venues and concert halls. By the age of 19 she ventured into dance music, singing her first track and signed to Epic/Sony music in which her song was internationally known, and on compilation Sony Dance Pool Volume 4 alongside C＆C Music Factory. She embarked on a short US Tour to follow. She decided to expand her talents into new heights by forming Krave Music Management a talent firm and booking agency to represent new and upcoming artists. Included on her roster,international djs, established comedians and Juno & International award winning music artists. She conducted and managed tours across Canada/US & Europe. Laura has written songs for other International recording artists in rock, country, edm and Top 40 and has currently gone back to her roots as the female power vocalist for Classic Rewind a band performing across the city! Craig McRae (Host)
The son of a professional musician and music teacher, Craig has been surrounded by music his entire life. While always having been a lover of guitar, Craig began focusing on his vocal capabilities in his 20’s and not long after became a sought after lead vocalist. Lover of ALL types of music including rock, pop, soul, R&B and rap and having performed in studios, corporate shows, weddings and clubs literally around the globe, Craig has loved every moment of his musical journey. Craig has appeared on numerous albums and recordings both as a vocalist and guitarist. Craig’s attention to stage presence in his performances is a key aspect in his connection with Hidden Talent Canada – he wants to make sure the performers know how to make their performances stand out!
